Heeding the Wisdom of your body
You should know that your body never lies. If there is something wrong like physical or mental you will go through physical discomfort. Like headache or pain in the stomach and sometimes this pain may get out of control. But we often pass these symptoms or wait until they become too intense to ignore.
The very first step is to tune your body so that it can pick up all these pain symptoms. This can be achieved by body scan meditation in which you will get in touch with your body during the medication. The body response is not just getting in touch with physical discomfort, you should know why your body is behaving in certain steps. There are some questions which you have to ask yourself such as-
- Have I been overindulging my body by giving it too much food, rest or sex?
- What will happen if I leave my body as it is now?
- What changes your body needs?
- Are you ready to make those changes?
- I’m not ready yet, should I try to make changes next year.
Some of the given questions are very difficult to answer and for them, you need to meditate on them. Changes do not limit themselves to the body, changes also mean in life, thoughts, and lifestyle. Meditation is the answer to all the given questions.
Meditation is a way for nourishing and blossoming the divinity within you.
If you just sit and observe, you will notice how wandering your mind is. If you try to pacify it, it only makes it worse, but over time it does calm, and when it does, there’s room to hear more subtle things – that’s when your intuition starts to blossom and you start to see things more clearly and be in the present more. Your mind just slows down, and you see a tremendous expanse at the moment. You see so much more than you could see before. It’s a discipline; you have to practice it and meditating every day is the only way to practice it.
